Vaishali Kaithwas’s journey to becoming a UI/UX Designer took a surprising turn from her original path. With an engineering background, she initially envisioned a career in technical fields. However, a growing interest in user-centered design eventually led her to UI/UX. Today, she’s a dedicated designer at 60DegreesIT Pvt Ltd, where she crafts digital experiences that prioritize user needs.
Vaishali began her career with a degree in engineering, relying on her strengths in problem-solving and analytical thinking. Although she excelled in technical roles, her curiosity for creative fields grew stronger, and she discovered UI/UX design as a perfect blend of her technical skills and newfound passion for creating meaningful user experiences.
To explore this new career direction, Vaishali enrolled in the UI/UX design program at Engineer Sahab Education. “The program’s practical approach and project-based learning made it the ideal choice for me,” she shares. Under the mentorship of experts like Rakesh Sir, Shreyansh Sir, and Aditya Sir, she gained hands-on experience and grew more confident in her skills. “Their guidance played a big part in helping me transition smoothly from engineering to design.”
The training was both challenging and rewarding. “Engineer Sahab Education allowed me to blend my technical understanding with creative design practices,” Vaishali recalls. As she progressed, her confidence grew with each new skill acquired. Her mentors’ support was instrumental in transforming her analytical strengths into valuable design skills.
During her training, Vaishali worked on multiple projects that showcased her ability to create user-friendly, functional, and visually appealing designs. Utilizing tools like Figma and Adobe XD, she built a portfolio that reflected her balanced approach to creativity and functionality. By the end of the course, she had developed a range of projects demonstrating her capabilities in user research, wireframing, and prototyping, making her a competitive candidate for UI/UX roles.
Engineer Sahab Education’s placement support was vital in Vaishali’s job search journey. From mock interviews to resume-building sessions, she felt well-prepared for each step. “The placement team connected me with great opportunities that matched my skills and career goals,” she says. With their guidance, she landed an interview with 6DegreesIT Pvt Ltd.
Receiving an offer from 6DegreesIT Pvt Ltd was a moment of accomplishment for Vaishali. “It was the result of all my hard work and a huge step forward in my career,” she shares. At 6DegreesIT, she found an environment where she could apply her skills effectively and continue growing as a UI/UX designer.
In her role at 6DegreesIT Pvt Ltd, Vaishali is responsible for designing user interfaces, conducting user research, and collaborating with developers to bring her designs to life. Her engineering background has become a valuable asset, enabling her to communicate effectively with developers and create designs that are both user-friendly and technically feasible. “My technical knowledge helps me bridge the gap between design and development,” she explains.
Vaishali’s advice to aspiring designers is: “Embrace your background, whatever it may be, as it can uniquely enhance your design approach.” She encourages future students to stay committed to learning and to rely on their mentors’ guidance. For her, following her passion for design led to a fulfilling role at 60DegreesIT Pvt Ltd, where she is thriving and continuously evolving as a designer.
