Sakshi Gupta transitioned from digital marketing to the field of design to become a UI/UX Designer. Her career took a surprising turn when she shifted from promoting products to creating user-friendly digital experiences. Today, she excels as a UI/UX Designer at RSL Soft Tech Ltd, where her background in digital marketing proves to be very valuable.
At first, Sakshi was skilled in digital marketing. She liked creating brand visibility and making online campaigns. However, she later realized she wanted to focus on the products themselves, emphasizing the user experience rather than just the promotion. This led her to explore UI/UX design to combine her understanding of user behavior with her growing interest in creating user-friendly digital products.
Sakshi discovered Engineer Sahab Education while looking for ways to learn design skills. She chose Engineer Sahab Education because it is known for providing practical training. During her time there, she received valuable guidance from Monika Ma’am, Aman Sir, and Mohsin Sir, who helped her understand the details of UI/UX design. Sakshi credits their encouragement and insight for giving her the confidence to successfully transition into this new career.
The training at Engineer Sahab Education was tough but worthwhile. Sakshi describes it as a “transformative time” during which she learned about design principles, user psychology, and industry-standard tools. “The hands-on projects and continuous feedback from my mentors made a real difference. They were always there to challenge me to improve,” she says.
Throughout her course, Sakshi worked on different projects that required her to think like a designer while using her marketing background. She learned to use Figma for creating wireframes and prototypes, studied user-centered design strategies, and developed a strong sense of empathy for the end user. These projects helped her build a portfolio that demonstrated her new skills and her unique perspective as a former marketer.
Engineer Sahab Education’s placement team played a crucial role in helping her find a job. Sakshi found the mock interview sessions, portfolio critiques, and resume workshops very helpful. These sessions boosted her confidence. The institute’s support in finding job opportunities and providing insider tips made a big difference during the recruitment process.
When Sakshi got a job offer from RSL Soft Tech Ltd, she felt really proud. She said, “It felt like all my hard work had finally been recognized.” The job was just right for her because it matched her skills and what she wanted, giving her the chance to work as a UI/UX Designer and bring her vision of user-centered design to life.
As a UI/UX Designer at RSL Soft Tech Ltd, Sakshi is in charge of studying user needs, making prototypes, and improving the user experience for digital products. Her background in digital marketing helps her understand how users think and behave, and she uses this knowledge in her design work. She finds it very rewarding to create products that are not only practical but also enjoyable to use.
Sakshi has some advice for future students. She says, “Stay determined, learn from every experience, and don’t be afraid to ask for guidance. Trust your mentors and lean into the learning process.” For her, transitioning from digital marketing to UI/UX design has been fulfilling. She encourages others to pursue their passion with perseverance.
