Debarat Dutta’s journey to becoming a UI/UX Designer was far from linear. She started by preparing for government jobs but later found her passion for UI/UX design. Now, she has successfully landed a role in this exciting field.
With a background initially geared toward government job preparation, Debarat’s career path took a different turn when her brother recommended the UI/UX field. It was a decision that changed her trajectory. She faced the usual challenges of switching careers but found her passion in design.
Debarat discovered Engineer Sahab Education through her brother’s recommendation. She enrolled in the UI/UX design program, where she had the privilege of learning from incredible mentors like Rakesh sir, Shreyansh sir, and Aditya sir. “I’m lucky to have them as mentors. Without their guidance, I wouldn’t have this job today,” she shared.
Her experience at Engineer Sahab Education was highly supportive. She credits the mentorship and training for honing his skills, stating, “My mentors were awesome and very supportive.”
During her course, Debarat worked on several projects that strengthened her skills in UI/UX design. She learned the process of designing user-centric products from scratch, using key tools and techniques like wireframing, prototyping, and Figma.
After completing her training, Debarat approached the job market with confidence, thanks to the placement support from Engineer Sahab Education. Their guidance helped her connect with job opportunities and overcome any interview challenges.
When Debarat received her job offer, she felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. It was a major turning point in her career, marking her success as a UI/UX Designer.
In his current role, Debarat is responsible for the entire product design cycle—from conducting research to delivering the final UI design to developers. Her training prepared her well for these real-world challenges, and she is now contributing to impactful projects.
Debarat’s advice to future students is simple: “Just do whatever your mentor tells you, and don’t give up easily.” These two principles helped her succeed, and she believes they can be key for others as well.
